Welcome to Mosinee Elementary School. Our elementary school serves approximately 600 students in grades Pre-K through three. We have recently adopted new curriculum in reading and mathematics to better prepare our students for our changing world. Our students have access to our school forest at each grade level which enhances their study of environmental education. Our facility houses an early childhood special needs program which provides early intervention to qualifying three and four year old students. Students in the community have the opportunity to attend a 4 year old Kindergarten program housed at various locations in the community.
Progress of elementary students is measured through the use of local assessments, MAP assessments, and the third grade state assessment. We are fortunate to have a newly remodeled facility. We have two computer labs in our building which help provide students with expanded research opportunities. Our IMC was newly constructed as a part of the addition and remodeling of our facility. The new gymnasium, classrooms, and remodeled cafeteria areas help expand the space available to serve our student population.
Through funds donated by our district wide Parent Teacher Organization, our students are able to participate in enriching opportunities such as music, theatre, and dance performances held locally.
We are fortunate to have the support of parents and community members who volunteer in the classrooms. Our school participates in the Junior Achievement program which helps teach students about the economy through community volunteers. We also participate in community programs such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters which provide support for students.
