The Mosinee Elementary School staff is looking forward to welcoming students and parents for the 2011-12 school year.

We are currently in the process of learning about the Common Core Standards for Reading and Math.  These standards have been adopted by the state of Wisconsin and will be used as guidelines for curriculum.  At this point, the staff will be learning about the expectations at each grade level and looking at how our curriculums match those expectations.  Most of this work will be done during inservice days.

 
We are continuing to work on building our learning community and learning how to deal with peers as one of our focuses this school year. We will   continue identifying our “Top Bananas” as a way to encourage our students to do their best. Most our planning in community building will be done during our inservice days.

We hope that as you visit the elementary website and teacher web pages you will note information regarding your child's events throughout the school year.  Our website also contains copies of our monthly newletter which highlights grade level events and informs you about upcoming events and days there are early dismissals or no school.  The calendar portion of the webpage will help you keep track of your child's programs and field  trips. 

The elementary staff looks forward meeting everyone at our Open House from 5:00-7:00 Pm on August 25, 2011.  This event provides parents and students with the opportunity to meet their child's teacher and see his/her classroom.  We also look forward to greeting everyone on the first day of school September 1, 2011.  The elementary staff looks forward to working with you throughout the school year.
