Welcome to Mrs. Adams' Kindergarten Website!

Welcome!  Kindergarten is a very exciting time in your child's life as well as yours.  It is my goal to help your child reach their fullest potential and feel success in the classroom everyday.  My classroom environment will be a safe, nurturing and challenging place for your child to learn.  It is my hope that I can encourage your child to become a lifelong learner and provide them with a positive beginning to their formal education.

It is my belief that kindergartners learn through active, purposeful activities with a wide variety of learning materials.  Your child will learn in a variety of settings, including whole class instruction, small group instruction and through one on one support.  Your child will grow and develop by experimenting and trying new things, interacting with others, learning rules and playing.  I will help your child learn necessary skills and knowledge, while fostering their independence.   

Our kindergarten classroom is a community.  Families are a very important part of our community.  I value the learning foundation that families build at home.  There are also many ways for you to be involved in our classroom, from classroom volunteering to chaperoning field trips.  Family support is ESSENTIAL to your child's learning!
