In reading and math, I have goals for the children in my class:

1. Develop and nurture a love for reading and math.

2. Develop strong independent reading and math strategies.

3. Develop problem solving skills.

4. Encourage the freedom to pursue open classroom discussion without the stigma of right or wrong answers.

 5. Experience the joy of accomplishment and developing self pride in those accomplishments.
