Welcome to 8th Grade Social Studies!

My name is Mrs. Bruening, and I am excited to be working with you this year!  I grew up in the Twin Cities and attended school at UW - River Falls and Northern Illinois University.  My family and I have been in the Mosinee area for the past 21 years.  I taught for awhile when my family and I first moved to this area, stayed home with my children for several years, and then returned to the classroom here in Mosinee.  I have two children who attended Mosinee Middle School. 

In my spare time, I enjoy attending my children's events, reading, scrapbooking, walking, and geocaching. 

I am looking forward to a great year as we work together to make real-world connections to the cultures and places on Earth.  World Studies is so much more than maps and landforms!
