In this page, you will find general information about sixth grade. If you are interested in contacting a particular teacher, please follow the links on the side to his/her webpage.
Our goal as sixth grade teachers is to help our students begin the transition into adulthood by giving them opportunities to be more independent. We spend a great deal of time on organization, responsbility, and making positive choices. This year, students begin to switch classes and have the opportunity to work with many teachers. While each of us has a different way of teaching, the expectations remain consistent.
During Teacher Advisory (TA), we spend time each month focusing on a character trait. In addition, we work on homework, responsibility, and team building activities. Later in the year, we also work on keyboarding skills to ensure that students are able to communicate and use technology efficiently and effectively.
We are committed to helping your child succeed. Study Club is offered to students based on a teacher recommendation on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school from 3:30-4:30. If you feel this would be beneficial to your child and a teacher has not contacted you, please contact your child's teacher, fill out the form below, and arrange for transportation to pick your child up at 4:30 from the front doors of the middle school. If there is anything else we can do, please let us know! Click here for the Study Club form
