The council is made up of between 28-30 representatives (depending on the number of TA's). Each TA also has an alternate in case of absence. The officers are elected from the group. Total membership is between 56-60 members, the meetings are held the second and fourth Fridays of the month, from 11:00 to 11:30. The meetings are run by student officers guided by the advisor. The officers and the advisor set the agenda of each meeting.

A subcommittee of the Council is the Dance Committee. It is made up of any 6, 7 , or 8th grade student that wants to decide on the dates, select a theme, make, and put up decorations as well as work at the scheduled dances.

Goals: Council members will learn how meetings are run. They will learn how to share ideas and respond to the ideas of others. They also learn how to work together to accomplish goals and make Middle School more fun.
