Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Mosinee Elementary School and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Marathon County are currently seeking Mentors for our school-based program. In school-based mentoring, teachers and school counselors refer students who could benefit from additional attention and guidance. Volunteers then meet with referred youth one-on-one during the school day, for a minimum of one hour per week. Volunteers commit to meeting with the child for one school year and must limit their meetings to the school ground and supervised school or BBBS activities. Mentors and students usually spend some time on schoolwork, but they also engage in other activities including sports, games, reading, and eating breakfast or lunch together.
