Principal's Welcome

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  

My name is JoLynn Schmidt, and I am honored to join the outstanding team at Mosinee Elementary School, serving as your principal. Our staff promotes a love for learning each day while working to meet the needs of all our students. I am committed to upholding the positive and caring environment that makes our school a wonderful place to be.

My family is looking forward to becoming part of the welcoming and warm community of Mosinee. My husband Ryan, and three children – Kirsten, Kollin, and Kalvin, are eager to explore many of the beautiful outdoor areas and participate in sporting and community events.

Going into my fifteenth year in education has allowed me to grow as an educator and leader. I began my teaching career in Tomah, teaching middle school science. I have also had the opportunity to teach both third and fourth grade. Most recently, I have served as elementary principal of three schools in the Tomah area. These diverse experiences have brought me to this next journey and prepared me to be a strong member of your team.  

I am excited to build positive lasting relationships with students, staff, and community members. Working together and communicating regularly, while providing students with authentic, innovative, and relevant experiences, will ensure that all our children succeed.

Assistant Principal's Welcome

Hello Mosinee Elementary Students, Parents, and Community Members!  

I am happy to be serving alongside your principal and staff as your assistant principal at Mosinee Elementary! Our core values at Mosinee Elementary are to be safe, be respectful, and be responsible.  It is my mission to work with children and families to instill these values as part of our actions and growth each and every day.  At MES, we look to meet the needs of each student and to identify their strengths to encourage everyone that steps through our door to be leaders.  

Going into my 18th year in education, I am committed to using my strengths to help lead our school to be the best!  My background in special education and instructional leadership has helped me prepare for this role.  I have worked with students of all ages, ranging from birth to 21 allowing me insight to all levels in education. 

I am a strong believer in the statement, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  I believe that through open communication we can work together to problem solve and pave a path of success for all students. We will work hard to make sure all families have the information they need.  We encourage you to check email, Skyward, school website, Seesaw, and Facebook regularly to obtain information about your child’s education.  We in turn hope you communicate important information with your child’s teacher, office staff, and/or administration.
