Principal's Welcome

Principal Kate Wollersheim

Dear Mosinee Middle School Families and Community Members,

It is with great excitement and sincere gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Mosinee Middle School. As both an educator and a parent in this district, I am truly honored to serve a community that has been such an important part of my life for nearly 13 years.

With 17 years of experience in education, I bring a strong commitment to fostering a school environment where all students feel safe, respected, and supported in their learning. I am dedicated to building on the proud tradition of excellence at Mosinee Middle School and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive—both in the classroom and beyond.

Middle school is a time of growth, exploration, and discovery, and I am fully invested in making these years a positive and enriching experience for every child and family. I look forward to partnering with our outstanding staff, dedicated families, and supportive community to continue moving our school forward together and provide the very best for our students.

I truly believe that great things are ahead for Mosinee Middle School, and I am excited to begin this journey with all of you. I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Warmly,
Kate Wollersheim
Principal

Assistant Principal's Message

Assistant Principal Stefanie Tryba

Dear Mosinee Middle School Students, Families, and Community Members,

I am excited to begin this new chapter as the Assistant Principal at Mosinee Middle School! While I may be stepping into a new building, I’m certainly not new to the Mosinee community. I have four children who attend Mosinee schools, and although our family lives in Milladore, we consider Mosinee our home.

As I begin my 20th year in education, I bring with me a strong background in special education and instructional leadership, along with a passion for building relationships and helping students succeed. I’ve had the privilege of working with students from birth through age 21, and I am committed to using that experience to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all learners at MMS.

I believe that strong relationships with families are the foundation for student success. Through collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to our students, we can create an environment where all children thrive. My goal is to support both students and teachers in preparing our learners not only for high school, but for life—as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and kind, respectful citizens.

At Mosinee Middle School, we aim to instill core values that help guide our students both inside and outside the classroom. Together, we will foster responsibility, leadership, and character to help shape students into the best version of themselves.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I am here to support you and your child throughout the year. I look forward to getting to know our students and families and working together to make this a successful and memorable school year.

Warm regards,
Stef Tryba
Assistant Principal

MHS Recognized as AP Pacesetter School

AP College Board
The Wisconsin Advanced Placement Advisory Council (WAPAC) and the Wisconsin Department of Public

The Wisconsin Advanced Placement Advisory Council (WAPAC) and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction have recognized Mosinee High School as a Level 3 Pacesetter School. This award recognizes Wisconsin schools that have a high participation rate in AP classes along with a high percentage of students earning a 3 or higher on their AP exam.

AP classes challenge students by providing college-level courses while still in high school, as well as providing students the opportunity to earn college-level credit or placement by scoring a 3 or higher on the AP exam. According to the College Board, studies show that students who participate in AP courses are more likely to attend college, achieve greater academic success, and have higher graduation rates than their non-AP peers.

Mosinee High School is honored to receive this recognition and is proud to provide these opportunities to students. The district commends its staff and students for their commitment to excellence, enabling Mosinee High School to receive this award.
